Your Eyes

Your eyes, made of gold,
were the ornaments that shone
through the grayness of the world.

Like El Dorado, you treasured
evil whispers inside your heart,
disguised by the magic of your gaze.

And I got lost. Deep into the lies
and promises you guided me towards
until I left my world behind.

In your terrain, I followed you
to the treasure that I had left
and found the cursed pain of knowing you.

Here I was destroyed and changed,
in this jungle of distortion
I learned what I had already known.
